Here is a question for all of those who have enjoyed Special Inquiries and Ongoing Inquires

Depends if you wish them to get together permanently, I am a romantic and would love that to happen although the circumstances of there meeting is a murder investigation and they have only known each other for one week at the most. Love at first site or is it puppy love. I want them to have a lasting relationship, although I am not the author just an avid follower of the story in all its previous incarnations.

I haven't voted. I'm not sure that the readers should influence a story. A camel is a horse designed by a committee, and all that.
I recognise that readers can have a lot invested in a story, too - you don't kill off Harry Potter in Book 4: there would be riots... but sometimes you have to let your author take you places. i'm nuts about Abi, and happily ever after is lovely... but so is the alternative: consider the ending to 'Casablanca'.

Bryony, I appreciate what you are saying. This little poll was started for two reasons. The first is I was playing around when I signed up. The second is to taunt the author of said story, who keeps taunting me about it. The longer you are around Chrissy and me, you will see we enjoy teasing each other.
As a writer, I have always tried to ignore what readers recomend for my story, but I do enjoy the comments. That's what we live for, correct? I have only acted on a reader's comment once, and I turned it into one of my B-Side stories on BC. My problems with Alexa is that the characters keep pushing me and I can;t control them!

Well I'm a sucker for a good romantic happily ever after, but I totally understand it's entirely Chrissy's tale. Just like in the real world (curses real life!!) I can hope for happily ever after, but either way it happens to go, I'm hooked on this ride to the conclusion.
I've gotten several comments on things people want me to add to Robbie's, I have to ignore those because its not ever going to be THAT kind of story heh.
Kris, I am just learning about what you say about the characters pushing... I honestly thought this would be a short story and I'd be done... Almost 10 months later, and almost 22 chapters finished I'm barely to the halfway point of the ending I have already written... Trying to get the girls to the end of the story is a roller coaster ride in itself, they keep getting distracted and going off on other tangents lol.

Well, having read this story after enduring months of nagging from Kris, I have to say that I really can't see what all the fuss is about...

As a crazed fan-girl I will, of course, track down Chirssy and force her to drink more of the pink milk if she doesn't get Abi and Nick together.
More seriously, this is a very well considered series and I trust the author to find an ending that is authentic and continues to reveal the common humanity of the two main characters.

Well as an avid follower of the story, well more stalker really, as that Chrissy may confirm when the story eventually concludes. Like all authors we love comments on our stories and sometimes the suggestions are great and at other times.
The story I have been working on has taken feet to more parts than I had intended mostly due to feedback from the readers, even had a comment for the current chapter posted on a previous one, every one helps to understand what our readers are looking for.
Rebecca you have found that with "Robbie`s Revelations" the story has developed and grown to where you are now towards the end of the first book 22 Chapters later. I lot of the length has grown from the characters that came into the story Jan, Alicia, Paul, Sharon (coach) and even Holly, Michelle and i have not forgot Karen, who to me is an enigma who hows her feelings will never be returned the way she desires. As how Holly treated Rebecca at Jan`s sleepover, and was difficult for me to read, was more difficult for you to write. They all need some sort of background story.
oppss do you think I enjoy your story more than just a little, Even this quick reply has grown feet

I had to laugh really hard at this... Simply because since I joined here, I've loved almost everything I've read from every single member here... It's been like, omg she wrote this, and this other person wrote this!!! Ooo they wrote that!!! I'm doing my best to not be the uber fan-girl and blurt all that that out... To which I guess I just failed... Becca

Lizzy I am glad you trust the author, because I don't know if I do

Well Lizzy at least Chrissy managed to keep the crayons within the lines now is that a rugby shirt you are wearing.
What is very noticeable is that each of us do not appear to rate our own stories the way our readers do, wonder if that is due to the fact that we have to write them and in many ways do some sort of research on them.
I remember a recent comment from Chrissy in one of our E mails If I came across my story "inquires series" how I would rate it as "errmm not that bad" where we the outsider look at it differntly and see it as interesting and worth keeping an eye on this one.

Mostly within the lines Sam, 'mostly' And yes, I think it's very true. I'm always very criticle of my past work. I know I cringe when I think about some of the over writing in Consequences! Save
