My wife keeps threatening to read my efforts, too - it's been a rather empty threat thus far. She doesn't know anything about my dressing, but then again, neither do I.
Not around me, if they know what's good for them... a feather duster up the jacksey can be pretty uncomfortable (unless you're a certain type of FM reader, of course).

It's lovely to be interacting with people like me for the first time. As much as my wife and I are very close, and I have problem wearing a skirt and heels around her when we're alone, I don't find it easy to discuss in a meaningful way the frustration of having to be a man, and a father, when I long to be a woman. As much as writing about being magically transformed into a woman is a release, I'm quite excited about being to be open with the people here. And to enjoy the writing. I'm looking forward to following some of the recommendations I've read about on here already. Cheers, Tanya.

You should come on the chat next Wednesday then Tanya. I think its safe to say that everyone on here is pretty open about things. Although I've had crossdressing feelings since I was thirteen (and dabble a little), I haven't really done a full transformation until recently. So I'm both an old hand at dressing and a novice at the same time!

Hey Tanya, sorry for being late to the party. So glad you’ve joined us, the more the merrier. I only started writing (fiction at least) last year, so it’s a big learning curve for myself. I’m also a divorced single she-Dad (my daughter coined the term) of three daughters, two of which live with me. Currently approaching my 4th year on HRT, it’s been an interesting journey to say the least. It’s really cool that your wife is accepting of this.. Mine was most definitely NOT lol... So I guess you could say my divorced was due to another woman... she just happened to be me Becca

Welcome, Tanya. Every new person brings a fresh perspective, and new possibilities in transgender fiction.
Come on in, and throw a spanner among the pigeons.

Hi Tanya, welcome to the site. I don't think you will find a better group of people than you will fin here.
I do have one tip, don't listen to Chrissy. I make a living out of doing it.

I'm not sure if I'll be able to make the Wednesday evening chat, as much as I'd love to, as my online presence on sites such as this is dependent on getting some 'me' time away from the family hullaballoo. I'll do my best. Thanks everyone for making me welcome.

Hiya, On Fictionmania I'm Tanya H, 13 stories going back a few years. I'm not a prolific writer, but when I get an idea I trot out a few pages and then think of something else to work on - not very organised at all. Yours, Tanya.

Hi Dawn - welcome to the madhouse. Put your feet up, have a cup of tea and don't forget to pet the Kat. Kat Am I supposed to stroke your ego or get in serious trouble misinterpreting that reminder. Chris and I talk about stories and books we've read but I guess we should share those with the rest of you. I worked for a major metropolitan newspaper as an online editor for several years before taking a buyout and retiring early. Given my background it probably isn't surprising that captioning appealed to me so that while I have only posted a few short stories I have created nearly 7000 captions and written in excess of a million words in just under six years. Now if they only gave Pulitzers for volume!
