Hi everyone, since I've only talked to Chrissy through emails it would be appropriate to introduce myself. Obviously my name is Rebecca or Becca as friends call me. I am a 44 year old single Dad (or She-Dad as my oldest two daughters that live with me call me since my transition) of three teenage girls, lucky me right? I'm also a veteran and for a few decades I've worked as an aircraft mechanic. As if that isn't enough to keep anyone busy enough, I also play guitar and do stand up locally at Open Mics, I also occasionally do speaking engagements for trans issues and educating and if that wasn't enough I started writing last year. I started my transition 5 years ago and have been open and out for 4. When I first started my transition like almost everyone I've talked to I emotionally wished that I would be able to fit in and live out my life as female without anyone being the wiser. Logically I knew that would ever happen, due to my height, build, and what years of testosterone poisoning did to my hairline I knew I'd never 'pass' (hate that term). Instead of being angry about my situation and letting it become bitter I decided to stand out even more and try to educate anyone that would listen. In doing this it helped me, probably more than I even realize, to make peace with my past and the 'guy' I had forced to be. i started writing shortly after starting HRT, for one to help the new emotions and thoughts from overwhelming me. Sharing those led me to talking to a few churches and once at my daughters school. While friends had told me that I should become a writer I never believed (and still don't) that I'm a decent writer. Then last year I met and talked with someone that started a story forming in my head, a few months later I started having to write it out to preserve what little sanitiy I might have left. Now here I am finishing up the last chapter of my 1st book, the story has grown so much that it's going to take at least two books to tell. anyway that's a bit about me, and since thos is an intro I'll include a 'tool' that I use in my educating talks. peace and love everyone, Rebecca

A writer... writes. Get it done.
Later on, I'll be interested to know how you got on when speaking to church groups. (Deuteronomy is a bitch, if you're trans-anything.) But you've got more courage than me, and you've served: nothing but respect for you.
Now, if someone can explain why so many TG folks have a connection to the aerospace industry... (me too) that would be good? Ah well: per ardua ad astra, sisters!

I'm fairly sure you all know all you need (or want) to know about me, but this is a really good idea. Hopefully you'll all get to know each other better and this forum will be the friendly gathering place I had in mind when I set it up.

I'm Lizzy, a writer. My work can be found on both Fictionmania and Big closet, although I've become a little disillusioned with the direction of both sites. I recently finished a serial titled Nine Months that I co-write with the very talented Miss Jessica.
We are currently working on a new story that looks at why so many of us are attracted to stories that include trans people in abusive relationships.
Chrissy has been a big supporter of my work (she looks so fetching in her cheerleader outfit). Her work has helped inspire me to look at more 'real' situations and move away from the 'magical' explanations.
Oh, and I live in the UK.

Ooh, Lizzy, how could you? You said the cheerleader costume would be "our little secret"!

I'm Anna, I have just published my fourth book on Amazon and am working on number five. I am absolutely useless at punctuation, as Chrissy will testify. Luckily I have a very fussy person to sort it out.

Welcome Anna. I've agonised a few times about whether to "go commercial" or not. If you don't mind sharing what your experiences have been, that would be very interesting and quite possibly very helpful.

Hi everyone,
I'm Miss Jessica. I'm a lawyer by trade and frustrated writer by desire. I live in New York and have one son, age 15. Thank you Chrissy for setting up this board and inviting me. It's great to have a community of supportive people.
I've been writing TG fiction for almost thirteen years. I'm currently working on two - one, Turnabout, on my own (albeit with Lizzy Bennet's editorial eye) and the other in collaboration with the beautiful and talented Lizzy (Chrissy, if you want to vomit, the bathroom's down the hall :-).)
Turnabout, a multi-part story (currently on Chapter 14) is on Fictionmania and Big Closet. Like Chrissy and Lizzy, I've been somewhat disheartened by the turns those boards have been taking and so am glad to join all of you. I'm looking forward to it.
Jess

Well everyone I suppose I best introduce myself. My name is Samantha Ann also know as Sam or Sammie. I am Male with a female side. A love to dress as a Woman and do not consider my self a a woman trapped in the wrong body. I have been dressing for many years now and my wife and family are aware of this, sometimes supportive sometimes not.
I have only recently start posting stories in the last year and have been pleased and surprised that the comments received.
I first met Christina through following her "Inquire Series" of stories in all its forms and our comments and support has developed into an friendship to such an extent that Christina has become my editor for comments on my stories.
I am also pleased to know Rebecca Jane via or exchanges on the "Robbie's Revelation" story. Christina pointed me in the direction of Lizzy Bennett with her "Consequences" story which lead to following "Unseen People" and "Nine Months" co written with Miss Jessica. This lead to reading "Nicole" and "Bridesmaids", also to Anna for her "For Love" story and still to read stories from Kris and Byrony only due to their is not enough hours in the day to read all the stories that I wish too.
Finally, well for the moment anyway, A warm Welcome to Anna, Lizzy and Jessica ooo and I have nothing to do with the aircraft industry lol
Nicer to meet you all
Love and hugs Sam"

Hi Everyone, I am Elle. Elaine Jefferies. I have been meaning to introduce myself to everyone for sometime now but just didn't get it done for one reason or another. There has been a lot of work related travel lately and thats made getting anything done more difficult. I wanted to tell you a little about myself before we released my first attempt at writing a story. I am a retired construction worker. and have been retired from the electrical trade for a little more than 4 years now. I am 71 years old and male. A divorced father of two boys who are now married ans fathers themselves. making me a very proud grandfather. I remarried 25 years ago to a great lady who is my current wife. Before my divorce to my childrens mother and for a few years after a had the good fortune to stumble into a job as a female impersonator in one of the largest production Drag shows on the Las Vegas Strip. a construction worker by day and a drag queen by night. a few of you know my story. Most of you do not. I will be sharing some of the experiances from that time in my life if there is any interest. The first of which was just posted by Christina under the heading of 'Mums first story.' I put the words together, but Kris Travers and Christina made them readable. my heartfelt thanks to you both. Elle
