Since we had a place for our unfinished works, and a place for our smaller musings, I thought that it might be a good idea to have an area specifically for those that would like the rest of us to proof read, check for plot holes, etc... I know most of us already had a dedicated person to proof our work, but thought it might be a good idea in case we wanted a few more eyes to look it over before we submitted it elsewhere.

You're right: I noticed that there wasn't really a place for whole stories. We have places for 'unfinished symphonies' and for 'snippets' but no place for complete stories. That's why I just put 'Summer with Aunt Ashley' in at the bottom of an existing thread.
I wasn’t exactly appealing for a proofreader – I don’t expect any poor soul to want to pay that level of attention to my scribblings – but a place in the members’ area for complete works might be nice.

It's a great idea, Becca. Maybe we could the board to throw in any plot ideas we may have to see if members think they're worth proceeding with, too.

Well I said "proof" just because different things jump out at different people... You get my idea though. Others might see places in our story that need more or less detail, and can help a story along... I was just thinking maybe this way I might could guarantee me maybe at least 5-6 readers

Great idea Becca. As Chrissy mentioned plot ideas I'll throw my idea at you gals and see what you think. I've got plans to write another three Angels books after the current one (In Hiding), the aim of these books is to signal the end of Ms Davenport and make Danni the main lady. After that I want to make the series more mainstream without the punishments that the Angels currently dish out, at least not as many and not as graphic. I want Danni to be a real Trans heroine with Angelina and Emily as her sidekicks backed up by the rest of the Angels and Desilver's team. The question is, am I going to upset my current readers and will the mainstream readers accept a trans heroine.

Anna - I think it depends on who you think your core readers are. If they are largely trans-friendly then I don't think there should be a problem.

Anna I think that in the Angels series you have a solid enough story that I don't think that you would lose many of your current readers. That being said, if you went more mainstream you would only broaden your audience... a lot of people would still have issues with any story showing anyone trans in a positive light, but do we really care if they read our work anyway? As far as your current readers go, most already have a vested interest in Danni, Emily, and Angela...
Becca..
Oh yeah, as soon as I get finished feeding my ravenous minions I'll set up the new areas for this.

On Fictionmania I get about one review per 200 reads at best, so what we have going on here is clearly superior. This confers tremendous freedom because it means I can try things out before I attempt to release to the mass market. I'm grateful for the ‘writers' workshop’ suggestions that I’m getting. So call it what you like, but there is a strong case for having a place to post home-grown stories. (In the members’ area, please?) Move the Aunt Ashley post over if you want.

Becca its an excellent idea
Becca you get much more than five or six readers that is for certain.
I feel that more than one of us here has Chrissy looking at our stories, I am one and grateful for this. I have a plot for a story that has been floating around for more than a year with the message you did a plot you write the story and this is from Nikkie Silk whom I had posted a comment after reading "Rear Window"
Bryony I am lucky if it get one review for around three hundred reads whether on FM or BC
Anna I did get a free copy of your latest book on amazon as an E book and when Pay day comes along I will buy a paper copy of this as well
I have read some stories of Lizzy, Jessica and Bryony and doing my best to catch some of the other authors here and have not forgotten you.
