Hey Becca, hope you and those you love came through unscathed?

I don't know about unscathed, but so far everyone I know that stayed are healthy, even if they are banged up a bit. No clue how bad the property damage is of yet, as its still early. Last I heard they are waiting for the storm surge to come back in, it sucked most of the water out of the bay. I saw a few videos of some manatees that were left high and dry when the water got pulled out, luckily people were there to rescue them.
I truly do want to say thank you, everyone... It really does mean a lot to me for your concern. We are good here and just waiting for the okay to return. St Pete is still under evac orders, and a curfew was instituted yesterday for safety reasons. Friend that we're staying with has horses and a pool, so all three girls got to go horseback riding, and swimming most of the day... I had been pretty busy yesterday, so I apologize for the delay in my response, to show my appreciation to our host I ended up cooking supper for them last night... I think they are hoping we stay for a few extra days now, haha.
Much love to you all, Becca

Today is the day that we are loading up to fight the masses back into Florida. I talked to my landlord and the house seems to have faired well, and looks like we still have power. The last few days have been incredible, the lady that took us in I had actually never met in real life until we arrived here. She was a friend of a classmate of mine, and had helped me get custody of my daughters, through advice and helping me write my own appeal. So while we had talked several times, this trip was the first we had actually seen each other, not counting the pixelated images on Facebook lol.
The girls have been swimming, horseback riding, and basically visiting with Dianne and her husband. I've done everything to show my appreciation, including cooking supper the last several days and even cleaning up the kitchen after <gasp>. She's been threatening to keep my kids, so I've been trying to make sure that she'd keep me too haha..
Anyways... Thanks everyone, hopefully the drive wont be so horrible. I will let you all know when we get home. <Kisses> Becca

Oh that's really great news Becca. Sounds like you were fairly lucky as we hear 2/3 of Florida is without power. Still I guess there will still be quite a bit of clearing up to do when you all get back.

Well we made it home, the house is okay. Yard is trashed, and we have no power... So... At least were home safe lol. Gotta look at the bright side right?

Ditto what Sam said (except I'm not stuck with Eric Idle's dulcet tones!)
